SIMON’S OHEL

There were many Poles living in Oświęcim.
They lived their everyday lives.
They raised their churches and synagogues.

And then there was Auschwitz.

There are many Poles living in Oświęcim.
They live their everyday lives.
There is only one synagogue left, open to visitors.
In the Jewish cemetery, there are matzevas, gathered from sidewalks and roads, stuck in the sorrowful ground. An Ohel is raised over the grave of the last Oświęcim Jew.
